aCkTiF Solutions' Managing Director is Glenn W. Birrell. Our methodology is to assemble specialist teams to investigations and other services provided us.   We engage a number of specialist consultants with the appropriate experience and expertise to assist us in the providing a solution to your needs.  One of these consultants is Mick Fennessy

 

Glenn Birrell holds a Certificate IV in Investigation Services, Private Agents Inquiry Licences and are Members of Australian Professional Institute of Investigators (A.I.P.I.) and the Financial Institutions Consultative Committee.as a Graduate Certificate in Fraud Investigation.

 

 

 

Glenn Birrell has had over twenty-one years policing experience in the Victoria Police Force prior to commencing an investigative company in 2001.

The last eleven years of his policing career were performed in managerial and supervisory roles. Seven of those years were as a Detective Sergeant at the Major Fraud Group. He has had extensive experience in all facets of investigation specialising in large and complex fraud matters requiring intricate planning.

He was awarded a National Medal and Victoria Police 15 & 20 year medals for ethical conduct.

His focus has been on the development of investigative and analytical skills, identification of areas in the government, private and corporate sectors requiring improvement and the implementation of risk management strategies to improve the efficiencies of those areas."

In the last six years, he has undertaken numerous significant corporate investigations, provided pro-active anti fraud strategies to organisations and conducted training programs for diverse organisations.

He has also assisted organisations in establishing organisations' whistleblower programs and provided training to Protected Disclosure Officers (whistleblower hotline operators).

Glenn is responsible for the overall management of the aCkTiF Solutions business ensuring that the needs of its clients are met.

"Mick Fennessy has had significant experience in investigation, in particular the field of law enforcement having served with the Victoria Police for nearly 14 years reaching the rank of Detective Sergeant.

He later worked as a Police Operations Adviser on the Royal Papua New Guinea Constabulary Development Project, Co-ordinator Investigations with the Department of Human Services, Director Fraud Prevention and Control with the Employment Services Regulatory Authority and most recently as Director, responsible for Corporate & Financial Investigation with Deloitte Forensic, a division of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu.

He has also provided investigation and training in prevention and detection strategies for a number of organisations in Australia and overseas.
